Happy Halloween....4 years together!!

Well, guess it is time for my weekly post and what better day to do it than the anniversary of mine and Brandon's first date!!! Yes, our first date was on halloween of 03. It is so funny to look back! We went to the BEHS championship game--where it snowed and I was very not prepared! I froze!! Brandon's dad and friend nate came with us. I didn't dare say how cold I was because I knew Brandon wanted to stay. I ended up sharing a blanket with Nate for some reason and finally Brandon gave me his gloves. Brandon's dad thought I was on a date with Nate! :) I kept waiting for Brandon to scoot closer to me to keep me warm or somethin, but he didn't! We had some hot chocolate and went back up to Logan where we went to Ruby Tuesday and ate with a bunch of people and then went to my apt and watched a scary show. Brandon wouldn't even get close to me.. I think towards the end, he finally put his hand on my leg. I thought.. Okay.. no first kiss for a long time, but surprise.. on date #3 he kissed me! He won't admit to this day that he initiated it, but I promise.. it was all him! :)
I was nervous about dating someone from work in case it didn't work out, but I really liked him, so decided that it would be okay. We kept it from people at work for like a month! I even remember hiding in the corner at his apartment when his sister came over!! I am not quite sure why! :) How dumb!
We didn't talk for a couple days after our first date. I was over at my friends apt a couple nights later (in the same complex) and got brave and went to talk to him. He wasn't there.. so I left a note and he called me and we pretty much were inseperable after that! :) Weird thing.. he lived in the same apartment that Steph lived in our freshman year and I spent so much time there that year (when steph lived there) and the year that we were dating. I think i was at that apartment the MOST of any other apartment I ever lived in!
We ususally like to go out and celebrate, but Brandon has a presentation he has to do for tomorrow. If he gets it done we might go out or just carve some pumpkins.
I went visiting teaching last night and found out that one of the girls I go to, her and her husband's first date was on halloween, engaged in feb and married in june.. all one year later than ours! That is so crazy!
It was all worth it and I am so glad that Brandon asked me out 4 years ago. I can't imagine my life without him!! We are so happy and love each other more than anything! Brandon is my best friend and I love so many things about him! We are very grateful to have wonderful friends and family that support us in all that we do! We are extremely grateful for the gospel and how it has helped to strengthen our relationship as well. Okay.. I am stopping before it sounds like a testimony! :)
I will try to post a fe pictures of us when we were dating later tonight.. I am on my work computer right now and can't.

My summer wedding 6.18.04

So, I guess I will post my wedding pics too since everyone else is and Steph gave me a good excuse to post them. It is so hard to pick just a couple!
I absolutely LOVED my wedding day! I wish I could live it over and over! I always wanted a summer wedding so that I could have my reception outside! When we talked about getting married I said it had to be in the summer. so we had our temple date set the next day and weren't officially engaged till almost 3 months later!
I knew that I loved Brandon then and everyone always said how much our love would grow day by day and didn't believe that could happen, but now I can see what they mean! :) I am so glad that we started it all off right and in the temple! I am so glad I get to be with Brandon for eternity!
The weather was good untill the reception and then it got so windy.. we had to move all the tables and stuff inside the basement! At that point I so didn't care! WE didn't get any pictures of the tables, which I am bummed because they were really cute. I think we might have gotten one picture.. but can't remember where it is or who took it.


A special thanks to my wonderful parents! Wow! 2 weddings within a month!! They sacrificed a lot and did a ton to make our weddings PERFECT!! Thanks to Brandon's parents for all that they did to help.. (shopping, planting flowers, etc).

This is my FAVORITE picture! I looked all over the place for this dress! I saw it in a magazine and I called every bridal store from Boise to St. George trying to find it! It was new the year I got married and not a lot of people had it! it was a couple sizes bigger than I needed, but they we able to alter it and it worked PERFECT!

My cake.. I think that this was one of my most favorite things! It was supposed to be a little more of a LIME green and the flowers just on top of it, but it is okay I still loved it!
I am not really sure what to even call this. This was my grandma's idea.. Brandon pushed me in this wheelbarrow down the street to our car! Everyone ran down the street with us! Kind of random, but something I will never forget!

That is a lot of fun to go look at those wedding pictures again. I haven't looked at them in awhile! It makes me want to watch my wedding video now! please anyone that wants to post their wedding pics, but waiting for an excuse.. just post them! :)

Cara tagged me to post 8 things that most people don't know about me. I am sorry if you already knew this about me! Here goes.

#1 I like the smell of skunks. Yes, I know that most people hate the smell, but I like it!

#2 I wish that I could sing. I cannot carry a tune and have always hated singing around people that can sing because I am so embarassed at how I sound!

#3 I want to have a set of twins. Don't ask me why, I just do!

#4 I HATE the dark!! I remember when I was younger and we would argue over who had to turn the light off and run back into the bed! :) Brandon still does that sometimes too! I HATE the dark! I HATE scary movies and stories too! Or elise.. remember the time the power went out at my house and we were downstairs in my bedroom and we have never ran so fast in our lives to get out of there! :)

#5 I HATE to cook. I know this comes as no big surprise to anyone! I am just fine with ramen noodles, mac and cheese and nachos (super healthy, I know!). I have tried to be better at cooking though! I made homemade mac and cheese the other night and my cheese was all in one blob and not mixed with the noodles. I was so mad and that is why I don't try too often!

#6 I like to pick scabs. I know.. that is disgusting!! That explains my scars!

#7 I love to go out and eat at a sit down restaurant. Maybe it is because I was the one waiting on the customers for so long wishing I wasn't at work and could be waited on!

#8 I have microscawjawwinker!!!! The nerve that was supposed to go to my eye, went to my jaw and the one that was supposed to go to my jaw went to my eye, so when I eat and drink.. my eye moves up and down. I have learned to control it quite a bit over the years, but my mom said when I was a baby my eyes would go crazy while drinking my bottle. Yes... It is a real thing! :) lol.

Okay... this is hilarious to watch. Brandon and I were having too much fun. Yes, for those of you who want to know what I would like like as a guy.. here you go! :) The funniest part is that Brandon says the little foot kick at the end is so me!

We went and watched our nephews and niece. These are Brandon's brothers kids (Nate, Nick, Lexi, Zach, Spencer, and Tyler). Zach is the one alone in the picture. He was downstairs playing a game with Brandon when I took this picture. They just live about 2 miles from us. It is fun to have them so close. It is always fun to go hang out with them. They always say the funniest things and so cute! Spencer was singing "who let the dogs out", Zach needed a snack before bed-time and "all I need is some junk food!", and Tyler was referred to as "little dude" after Brandon called him that once!
Guess I have to post pictures of everyone else's kids because we don't have our own!! :)

Witch Hunt

We have enjoyed our LONG weekend. We haven't really done a whole lot... Just enjoyed being with each other! I know that it is going to suck going back to work and school on Monday! We wished that we could have gone to do something really fun, but that takes money and we don't have a whole lot of that right now! :) We did go up to Logan and went through the bookstore and to lunch. We miss being in Logan. Hopefully we will get back there some day. I even hear they are getting a Target! That is all that I was waiting for! :) I helped Brandon wax the car--I hate that, but had nothing else to do, so I figured..why not? Brandon enjoyed having a whole week of just watching football! YUCK!
My aunt MaShel had her baby so we got to go see him. He was 9 lbs 4 oz and she did it without C-section and she got started a week early! OUCH! HE is a big kid, but cute! We didn't get to hold him cus he was so new, but hopefully we will soon!! All of you that are having babies soon.. watch out.. i really might have to steal them!

Last night we went to Gardner Village with Cara, Matt, Hadlee and their friends and went on the witch ride (kind of a short ride for a long wait, but still fun!) The witch on the ride sings songs and tells stories. They always have it so cute for the holidays. They have witches all over around the buildings. It was really cute!

4. fanny pack--tacky! :) lol
5. jelly shoes-- I don't think I have worn these for a very long time.. I did leave them at my grandma's one time and I threw a fit and made my parents turn around and get them! I was not going to go without them!

I haven't posted in a bit. Probably because nothing exciting is happening, but I will post a little something anyway.
I am staying busy working (sometimes more than I get paid for). I seem to be on longer than I need to--and the state doesn't allow overtime--unless it is approved for the whole office, which only happens twice a year. It is easier to work longer when you are at hoem anyway and nothing else to do! :)
All that Brandon does is study and go to school. He is doing well and still enjoying what he is learning. He is definately ready for his fall break though!! I took a few days off during that week too. I have no idea what we are going to do though! :) All I know is that I get two long weekends! :)
