OUR SPONGE

Sorry if you get sick of posts about my little Bray, but she is my life and I feel like this is a good way to document.
You don't have to read it!

It really seems like the last 2 or 3 weeks Braylie is picking up on EVERYTHING!

she has learned to shake her head no when she hears no... we are working on yes

she will clap when she hears anyone say YAY!

She totally responds to her name. She might have been doing this for awhile, but I just noticed! :)

she can pull herself up to her feet (she just did this on MOnday)
she will walk against furniture

...........just some fun stuff...........

Brandon has Mondays off, so he watches Braylie while I have to work.
He still has stuff to get done (since it is his Saturday), so we strapped her onto Dad and they mowed the lawn today.

I am not sure who enjoyed it more... Braylie or Dad! :)
Brandon is already talking about buying Braylie one of those plastic lawn mowers! :)
I am surprised he hasn't gotten one already!!
He has a picture as a little kid with his plastic lawn mower and his Dad with the real lawn mower. I have a feeling we will be re-creating this picture soon! :)

This is how I found Braylie this morning--she is CRAZY!!

Braylie is learning so many things SO fast and has learned some new things in the last week or two.

She claps her hands and I think it is the MOST ADORABLE little thing. She gets the hugest smile and claps the little palms of her hands together and just keeps going! I LOVE IT!

She has been pulling herself up to her knees against the furniture. TODAY, she pulled herself up to her feet! Oh no.. time to raise the crib down AGAIN!!

Can we stop growing so stinkin' fast please!??

She can FINALLY drink out of a sippy!!
I have to hold it for her, but she can suck and can get some liquid from somewhere OTHER than me! :)

She can stand for a second or two on her own.

She is teething and drools and has the runniest nose EVER!
Good timing with the Tylenol/Motrin recall.
AGH!!!
She has been really good still.

In honor of...

....GRANDMA BERGESON....
I know that I am a little behind, but I get things done when I can! :)
A couple weekends ago, we did the 5k race for the cure (we of course walked, although I should have got my butt in gear and ran it---NEXT YEAR!) in honor of my sweet Grandma.

WE had shirts made with Grandma's picture..Here is Dad and uncle Bill sportin' their pink shirts.

I was amazed at the number of people there!! That is all PEOPLE!
Bray was done with the stroller about 1/4 of the way into the walk. We had so many people willing to help carry her and push the stroller. Saya and Braylie love each other! I wish they lived closer!

It was so awesome to be a part of it and I know Grandma was so proud and walking with us!

10 months...

It really has been 10 months since one of the best days of my life!
I love it and I hate it at the same time!!
Is that possible!?

She gave me the best Mother's Day present!
Well, maybe! :)
ask me in a couple months

We were getting ready for church and she was sitting playing with her toys and I looked down and she did a little crawl! TA DA!!! I was so excited! It took her a couple days to really get it down and today she is a full on crawler!! WATCH OUT!! She will be into EVERYTHING and life will get a little more hectic and interesting!

*she can wave!! --her 1st wave was to Dad a couple weeks ago when we were leaving to run errands. SO flippin' cute!
*she claps her hands
*she is VERY loud!
*eats ANYTHING that we are eating
*she eats HUGE bites
* she is a wiggle worm and will not sit still unless she is in Dad's arms
*she ate dirt the other day. I had her sitting on the floor while I showered... I got out and she had dirt down her chin and all over her mouth!! NICE!!! I have no idea where she found dirt in our bedroom/bathroom, but she found it!
*she can pull herself up against stuff, but just on her knees
*she will stand forever if you stand her up against stuff
*she kicks her legs (both go up in the air and she plops them both down really hard)
* she rips any kind of paper and puts it in her mouth and gets so mad when I get it out
*she got herself out of the bumbo. She arches her back just enough to roll out the side!
*sleeps on her tummy
*does her scrunch face and blows
*she had her first lemon and pickle...we had the video camera ready...and there was nothing sour or funny about it. She didn't mind them
*likes to turn pages in books with the pages rubbing against her little fingers... she was doing this at church and I turned my head for one second and she ripped the hymn book! Whoops!
*has the cutest little excited squeal
*smiles and babbles to other babies like they have their own language
*pulls off her socks and chews on them... she will chew on just about anything
*whispers dadadadadadada
*pulls herself to sit up her crib when she is awake
* turns completely sideways in the shopping cart with one leg still in the one whole
* does the stink bug position--on hands and toes and bum straight up in the air

Busy Busy

This weekend Brandon had an UPTA conference. I told him to take the car so I couldn't leave the house and waste my time like I usually do. I needed to get some projects done that have been on my list WAY TOO LONG!

I made this adorable pillow....I like it A LOT!!!
(especially because I hardly paid anything for the fabric)
...the picture is sideways...

I also made the a couple of the black ones behind it.
I really like them too, even if the fabric was not cheap! :)
And this one...

the lighting is horrible, but too tired to take another!

I made Braylie a little rag quilt that I have been wanting to do for probably about 10 months!
I am pleased with how it turned out!

it is cuter in real life
I also cut out some fabric for more pillows but need a serger!

I know this doesn't seem like a lot, but it does to me!
Now just a million more to go!!
My house is slowly coming along!

--2nd set--

I am a paranoid mother and on Thursday Bray was still not standing on her leg. She would on her right a little, but still not her left. I called the Dr. He suggested we do a second set of x-rays to see if he could tell anything at this point (it would show up better after awhile). She, again, screamed the entire time! Brandon came with me this time and they were short techs, so Brandon and I got to hold her down.
The Dr. called later that day and said everything looks fine. He said to just keep watching her and he felt like it would get better with each day, but of course said if it didn't to let him know and refer us to an orthopedic Dr.
She is already doing MUCH better and will stand and jump on both her legs!
Phew!!
