Picture says it all.....

Brandon had to have his 3rd surgery within 2 years. ARE WE DONE YET?? They say that this particular surgery is pretty common after an apendectomy, but it still doesn't make it any funner! He had it done on Thursday. The DR asked if we had any questions and I said "Nope, we have this all figured out...we are Pros!" He laughed! At least Brandon has met his deductible for this one and we only have to pay 5 %!
He is doing really well and makes progress on his recovery every day, but he says it is still pretty sore and no position is really comfortable!! He would LOVE to have our rocking chair that we bought. It is purchased, just still in the box at his parents' house, cus we don't have room in our apartment, although we might need to make room so Brandon can rock his baby girl in a couple months! I think that is the number 1 thing that he is looking forward to! This is his make-shift rocking chair (office chair that rocks).

He is getting dizzy and sick to his stomach that we think might be from the anethesia. He can't lift anything for 4 weeks! They told him not even to lift more than a half gallon of milk!! That works really nice for trying to find a PT job!! Oh well.. Whatever is supposed to happen, will! He has 2 interviews this week (South Ogden and Layton). Hopefully he is feeling good enough to go! They told him he should be good to go when the baby comes. Then comes his turn to take care of me! We are an excellent pair! :)

- - - DOCTOR Goldsberry - - -

Yep... that is right... DOCTOR Goldsberry!!
I can now finally say that I am married to a DOCTOR!
When we were ironing his gown and hood, the package said DOCTOR on it.. wow.. that is weird.
I already did my bragging and praising previously, so I will leave that out for now.
Graduation was excellent and I didn't even cry as much as I thought I would!! Our baby sure enjoyed being there. I have never felt her kick so hard and so much! I think she must have been super duper proud of her daddy too!! I had no idea what to expect, but it was actually very nice!! I enjoyed the ceremony and who can say that they enjoyed a graduation ceremony? There were only 40 something students that graduated, so it was short and to the point. I thought it was cool that the professors referred to the graduating doctors as their colleagues! Wow!!

It was really cool to watch Brandon go get his HOOD as they read his new name "Dr. Brandon Ryan Goldsberry" and read his doctoral project title. I started to wonder if they were speaking English with some of those titles! Brandon received his DOCTORAL HOOD from the President of the APTA, (American Physical Therapy Association) Scott Ward, who is also the chair of the PT department and his doctoral project chair, Ed Gapmeier. We were too far back to get really good shots and my camera absolutely SUCKS. I did get good video of it.. maybe I can figure out how to post it!! hahaha!!

His hooding attire...
Yuck... this really is the best picture we got?? We will definately remember our baby was on the way when we look back!

PT Buddies: Toby and Josh

The only other Utah State University Bachelors graduate..

The proud parents:

We were in a bit of a hurry to get to the restaurant to meet up with our family that couldn't make it to the ceremony. They could only give 5 tickets per student. STUPID! We were walking out to the car and Brandon told me that he didn't want to take off the cap and gown! :) He finally thought he might feel retarded with it on in the restaurant!
Hadlee got a kick out of Brandon's silly hat!! She pointed at Brandon and started laughing!! I think she was a little embarassed for him! :) LOL!!
Thanks to all our family for supporting us and for the gifts!! We couldn't have made it without you!!

Brandon has been wanting this for as long as I can remember. It is VERY expensive and more than I ever wanted to pay, but I figured that he totally deserved it. Thanks to Brandon's parents for helping to be able to purchase it! Kind of funny he graduated from the U and got a painting of Utah State. If any of you know Brandon, you will totally understand! :)

Brandon kept reminding me for a couple days that he really was a Dr! :) He changed his resume from SPT to DPT the next morning!! He was a little excited!!

Congratulations Brandon Goldsberry DPT!!

WAY TO GO!!

We went to my brother in law's commissioning ceremony. He received 2nd leuitenant (sp) from the Army. I have never been to anything like this, so I thought it would be interesting to be there and of course to support Joe! He also graduated from the U with a major in Biology!! CONGRATS JOE!! What an amazing accomplishment!

Friday was Brandon's graduation. My mom was in town with the annual Davis and Bott annual tax season retreat. They went out to Miller Motorsports Park. My mom called to see if Brandon wanted to go drive the go-carts, so we headed out to Tooele. He was a little hesitant to go at first, but had a good time. His favorite was the complete 360 he did when he tried to slow down!! We got to stay and go on a tour of the place. WOW!! That place is HUGE!! There are some dang nice cars out there!! Thanks Davis and Bott for letting us come!!

Grad pictures and details in next post.

That night my mom, Riley, Cara, Cora and I stayed at the Grand America! What a nice place!! Thanks again to Davis and Bott! We laughed so hard that we couldn't breathe!! The next day, we shopped till we dropped, which didn't take this fat pregnant girl too long! :)

Saturday was a day of running errands and our nephew, Nate, had his court of honor for his eagle scout! WAY TO GO NATE!! We are so proud of you!! He is only 14 and already has gotten his eagle scout!! What an amazing kid. Brandon had his at this age too!! Talk about some mighty determined boys... must be in the blood. :) I was lazy and didn't have my camera.

Sunday was, of course Mother's Day and my 1st that I really got to celebrate!! I will admit that it wasn't my favorite day in the past years, because I wasn't sure that I would ever get to celebrate it for real! I am so grateful that I get to be a mother and count my many blessings!
We headed up to Brigham to spend time with our MOMMIES! I don't know where in my life I would be without my MOM. She is such an amazing person and has taught me so much. She has always supported me, stood by my side and helped me to choose the right. I only hope to one day be that kind of mother to my kids!! Brandon's mom has been an awesome example as well and has raised some amazing kids... especially the youngest son!! I am SO extremely grateful for her! She has also taught me a lot as she has accepted and loved me as her own!! And... to all those other mom's in my life.. you are all great examples to me!!

Earlier in the week we found out that Brandon gets to have SURGERY #3!!! He goes in tomorrow. POOR KID!! I really do feel bad for him, although extremely annoyed at the same time. We will just say... I guess he lifted a little more of his patients than he should have and when he went running the rest happened!! Hey... At least his deductible has been met for this year! NO MORE!!! Our insurance will LOVE us this year!

Brandon is still doing the whole job searching. He has had interviews and quite a few leads that we are really praying go somewhere!! He was offered a job in Price...NO THANK YOU!! Also there is a job in Tooele. I don't think we want to live there either. That must be why they are available!! We know that we will be well taken care of and those are NOT the jobs for us!

...Camera Suggestions...

I am realizing that I really need to get with it and get my new camera bought. I am not happy with the pictures from Brandon's graduation and for that reason, really ready to buy a camera. I have the money, just haven't wanted to do all the research to make sure I get a GOOD, NICE camera and my money's worth.

I am leaning towards a point and shoot camera that might be a little more advanced. I really want one that has high speed response, but I am thinking I might be asking for too much.
I read that higher megapixel isn't always better and same with zoom.
I need other opinions and suggestions on what to look for!!
HELP!!

Graduation and other pictures are coming SOON!!
