Seahorse

Braylie loves this little seahorse.
She plays with it in the tub and will chose it over any other toy.
When it is time to get out and we put all the toys away, she clenches onto the seahorse and gets SO mad if you try to take it away from her!
She holds onto it the whole time she gets ready for bed! :)

for some reason.. can't get the pictures to turn.

Injury...

The other day Braylie was really fussy. When I got her out of the car seat, she was fussy AND super clingy. At first, I thought it was because she had been with babysitters all week and was just not going to let me go. Then I started to notice that she wasn't putting any pressure on her legs. When I would touch them and change her bum, she would SCREAM! She would fold her legs up when I tried to get her to stand. I knew that something wasn't right, cus she was NOT HERSELF! She was eating fine, no fever, red marks, or bruising.
*****
I called the DR. He told me to watch her overnight and if it didn't get better to come in the next morning. WEll... the night was rough. She fell asleep in my arms just fine. We took the crib mattress in our bedroom next to our bed since we didn't have a monitor (sent in to get a replacement) and she slept fine till 3:00 a.m and she woke up in a panic and reached her little arms for me and WOULD NOT LET ME PUT HER DOWN! She slept in my arms the rest of the night while I stayed awake panicked that she was going to be paralyzed or something else horrible! In all reality, I knew she would be fine because of the blessing Brandon had given her, but isn't that a requirement of being a Mom..to WORRY! :)
*****
She woke up the next morning and cried when I tried to stand her up again, so I called and made an appt.
*****
The dr examined her and she cried and clung tight to me as he did his thing! He decided that there was definitely something up--especially the left lower leg/foot---possibly both. He mentioned maybe a fracture, but it is extremely uncommon for a 9 month old! He ordered x-rays of both legs/feet. Braylie HATED it! She screamed the entire 8 minutes while the tech held her down! I was in the back room watching the pictures come over and I couldn't tell anything, but I have never read xrays in my life.
*****
The Dr. called a couple hours later and said they examined them very closely and couldn't tell anything was wrong. He said it was probably a sprain from stepping on it funny, or caught in something. He said to watch it over the weekend and if it didn't improve to come back in and do more x rays.
*****
She acted more like herself later that evening and slept just fine and started to put a little more pressure on it, so hopefully it will get better and better with each day!
I am so glad that we didn't have to put a cast on it and that she is ok!
We still have NO IDEA what happened to cause this! I only leave her with people that I would TRUST with my life and I KNOW that they didn't do anything on purpose! We have all re-played our last couple days a million times and can't think of anything.
She has started to sleep on her tummy, but I don't think that would have anything to do with it!

pArK TiMe

We enjoyed the nice weather and went to the park.

It was so nice.

Braylie loved the slide and eventually figured out how to do it alone....
she would hold onto the side and turn on her stomach and go down that way. :)

Please focus on everything else in the pictures and not me!
I am so embarassed to put these on, but hey.. Bray looks cute!
FYI---I have started my weight loss plan...
please don't judge...
stress and sugar don't mix well with my body! :)

Hoppy Easter!!!

A few of our EASTER festivities!
We tried dying our eggs a little different this year. They turned out so awesome and no mess!
Who knew silk ties, and some boiling water would do this to eggs!!

We did let the kids do some the traditional way. Braylie is determined to get whatever she wants. She was quick and we almost had color everywhere a couple times between trying to keep stuff away from her and Cora! :)
Bray tried every possible way she could to get out of the bumbo!
Braylie finally gave up and thought eating a strawberry was much better!

The easter bunny left some fun stuff for Brays:
Everyone came to our house for Easter this year.
We were a little short on chairs... the kids sat on the floor! :)
We had Cafe Rio/Bajio yumminess.
I would have to say it was pretty darn close to the real stuff!! DELICIOUS!!!
Good job Mom and Cara that did most of the labor!
I almost forgot to put the pork in the crock pot last night.. I would have been in TROUBLE!

Good thing Brandon reminded me!

Had an easter egg hunt.
We only had a few eggs! :)
We didn't even hide them all! They couldn't keep 'em in the baskets!
We missed our other cousins!

and hung out, watched conference, and ate some easter grass!

Hope you all had a HOPPY easter!

some pics of our house..

We have been working tons on our house the last couple months. There is still a lot that needs done, but we have to do it as we go. We are getting used to our new home. It still needs a lot of decorating, but again.. that will happen as we go. It probably isn't our IDEAL home and isn't anything super fantastic, but we had a price range to stay in and knew it was our FIRST house. We are so excited to have a place of our own and call it HOME.
Here are some pictures.
Beware... they might not be the best! :)

We have been told that our house STILL smells like paint!!
Living Room
I Love all these windows!

The baseboards were maroon. NO thanks!

I cannot get this picture turned the right way... you will have to turn your head! :)

Kitchen
We were informed 2 days before closing that the fridge died, so we had the previous owner give us some money towards a new one.
We could only go with a small fridge, but they were just as much as the big ones, so we took out the cabinet above the fridge and were able to get the bigger one. Although it BARELY fits in the opening.
When we walked through the house, I said that we had to get a new stove/oven, cus this one was older than Brandon..he didn't agree cus it worked.
Dang..
After we got in, we realized the oven door didn't open, so we got a new one of those too! :)
We are planning on sometime in the future painting the cabinets and maybe getting new countertops, but for now we are really sick of painting and big projects!

...Sunday walk...

last week we went on a little walk cus the weather was so great!
Braylie loves being outside.
We were strollin' along and stopped to check on her... her eyes were watering so bad from the sun. :)
Poor thing...she has her Dad's super sensitive eyes! :)
