Orange julius, popcorn, and The Jazz!!

Every time I eat popcorn, I get the craving for orange julius. They just have to go together!! There weren't many Sundays that went by growing up that Dad did not whip up a batch of popcorn and Mom made orange julius or purple cow! What better snack to have while watching a little bit of Jazz basketball! :) Here is Brandon with his drink in what else besides his Utah State glass!!! Yum!!!

BIG HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

Happy Mothers Day MOM!! Thanks for everything that you have taught me and helped me to become!! I don't know how I would have made it to this point in my life without YOU!! You are amazing!
I also want to say Happy Mother's Day to Brandon's mom. I know that she won't see this, but I am so grateful for her and most of all for raising such a fantastic son!!!

DONE!!

It is so time for a new post. We haven't really been doing a whole lot that is really blog worthy, but I hate when people take forever to post something new and I am so guilty for that! :)
Brandon is finally done with finals. He had a little bit of a tough semester, but he pulled through and did excellent. I am so proud of him! I love that he has so much dedication and motivation to do well in everything that he is involved with. I felt like a widow the last couple weeks as he constantly studied, but decided I would get over it as it kind of affects my future too! :) One more year to go! It is hard to believe that next year at this time we will finally be done and real world.. here we come! :) The time really has gone so fast! It will be tons of changes all at once, but so exciting!
He starts his internship on Monday here in SLC (thank goodness it isn't out of state again and hopefully no major surgeries interrupt this one). This will go till mid July, then he will work on his doctorate project until school starts up again in the fall. He won't be able to use the studying excuse when it comes time to working out with me now!
I wish I had more exciting news, but really that is about it! I will try to be a little more exciting and get some fun pics posted!

almost a victory

We went bowling for my friends' birthday party on Saturday night. I have not been bowling in a LONG time, so I was sure I was going to make a fool of myself, but to my surprise I didn't do too bad. I was actually beating Brandon at one point and I of course made a big deal out of it, but he kept reminding me that the game wasn't over yet. Dang it.. it was close. I am the second to last score.. Brandon's is the last. SO CLOSE!! This is a first and probably a last. The picture at the top is horrible, but that is as good as I could get it with photoshop--still learning how to use it. :)

enjoying the nice weather

Yesterday the weather was so nice that Cara called and we threw together a little picnic between us, them and Cara and Matt's friends (Nate, Emalee, and Ethan) without having to go buy anything because it was sunday. We grilled hamburgers, sat around and talked and watched the kids play on the playground with the hundreds of others that had the same idea at sugarhouse park! It did get a little cold there as the sun went down. It is about time we had some warm weather!

OH MAN!!!

Last night Brandon was pouring the ranch dressing into a smaller container. I usually make a big batch and it doesn't all fit into the container, so we just put the rest in the fridge and pour it in once the first part is gone, so it sits and gets a little thicker and curdely. Brandon had poured it all into the container and was shaking it to get it normal again.. I was in the other room and all I hear was "OH MAN!!!" and I didn't think anything of it.. than I hear it again.. "OH MAN!!", so I said.. "You okay in there?" he said..."You might want to come in here" so I went in and Brandon, the walls, floor, stove, cabients were covered in Ranch dressing!! The lid popped off when he was shaking it. I started laughing so hard. He was so dang mad and all I could do was laugh. This picture dosen't even really show how bad it was.. can you see it on the walls? :) He had even wiped some of it off himself before I could get a picture.





P.S. I know.. my kitchen is ghetto.. that is what you get when you rent and not want to pay a million dollars! :)

Note to self: hold lid on tight when shaking things that you do not want to explode!

Time for a change

I finally did it!! I have had long hair for 26 years and this time I finally was ready to make the big change!! I was a little nervous, but SO READY!! I kind of can't believe that I did it myself, but was set on doing it for a little while. Brandon did not think that I would do it because I always talk about doing it but never do. I cut 8 inches off!! It is quite short. I thought that for sure I would start crying.. but no worries I didn't! There was so much hair on the floor! Hadlee came over once we were done and she looked at the hair and then at me with a really worried face and said, "ARE YOU OKAY?" It is definately taking some getting used to and I have even shed a few tears when I see people with long hair, but I am really starting to like it and slowly getting used to it and realizing that it is just hair and it will grow back. This isn't the greatest picture.. but all I have for now!
