Dang Aggies!

Of course Brandon went to the game on Saturday. I watched the last little bit. We had it won, but of course threw it away! I was all ready to call Brandon and cheer with him, but one minute to go and they let San Jose score! DUMB! Brandon was not too thrilled! OH well.. I think they said on the radio last night.. 37 (or somethin like that) days till basketball. At least we can have one sport to be good in! :)
My dad gave up on the games.. and Brandon is seriously thinking about not going to any more.. yes, Brandon not go to a game!! He said he wasn't going unless it was free--and then he would think about it!

Strawberry Jam

So, I am so proud of myself! I made strawberry jam and it is so good!
I went to my Mom's and helped make some peach jam and I really wanted to make some strawberry (my favorite), but of course I couldn't find any strawberries in Brigham that were normal. I decided I would get some here and make my own! I was a bit nervous as I have never done it before, but it was so easy and tastes really good!

I guess it is about time that I blog!

Since the last blog, we celebrated Brandon's 29th birthday (Sept 1--same as Cara's). Dang, he is getting old! :) lol. Brandon of course got some Utah State stuff. I had to take a day off of work to be able to go up to the bookstore to get his present! :) Hey, atleast he is easy.. anything Utah State.



He got some new golf clubs with his internship money. It was money that we were definately not planning on (from the pt he worked for). Brandon has been wanting some golf clubs for awhile, so he went looking and found some nice ones. They are somewhat used, but still in pretty good condition. His parents got him the bag for his birthday, and I got him the Utah State head covers. We had to go hit with them as soon as he got them and before he broke something trying to do it in the house! :) He is trying to get me to learn how to golf. I did try a few swings and I gave up after the ball only went 5 feet in front of me!! It is a good thing he has friends, brothers, my dad, and nephews that he can go with!!







We went to peach days..not so much fun..just not as fun as it used to be!! I took Tegunn and Trey to the parade and watched them for the afternoon while Lyssa worked. Wow! I was beat by the end of it! Trey even slept most of it! Makes me think twice about having kids so soon.. maybe we will put it off a bit longer! :) I love them to death, and they are the cutest.. just a lot of work! Brandon's school is going well. All he does is study and check on how his fantasy football is going! I get so bored at night! I need to get out some projects.. they are just so overwhelming! I need to get the rest of Brandon's mission scrapbook done and then our whole married life! :) Most likely that will not get done!

My work is good. I just found out today that I am changing teams. They are blending all the health workers with us, so changes had to be made according to experience, and since I don't have a whole lot, I get to change! I have a new team, supervisor and lead. I still get to work from home, which is good. I don't know anyone on my team! Kind of scary, but I will be okay!

I really have absolutely nothing to say, but I am so bored, so I thought that I would post something.
Brandon survived his first week of school. He is not excited about sitting in class for hours a day. He would much rather be able to work on the patients and be up and moving, but that time will come! :) This semester is not going to be as bad as the last 2. Thank goodness!
We went to the Jericho road concert last night. I was afraid to ask Brandon if we could go--afraid of the rejection I would get, but he said we could go! I wasn't dying to go, but I thought it would be something different than just sitting at home like we usually do! :) I get so sick of being in the same place all day (working at home). I am so glad that so many more people I know are moving to slc! :) Stephanie and her family, Meghan (friend from college), and hopefully Cara, Matt, and Hadlee soon!

Brandon is completely healed. His scab came off the other day. It is going to be a pretty big scar and Brandon thinks that it will keloid (sp?). We can go in and have them fix it again if it really bothers him, but that will be like a year down the road!

This weekend is Brandons birthday(and Cara's)on the 1st. I can't believe that he will be 29!! CRAZY!! At least it isn't 30 yet! Brandon told me that all he wants to do on his birthday is watch football! I love him to death, but I don't think I can handle it! I am already sick of football talk and stuff and it hasn't even really started!! I just hope that Utah State wins at least one game this season to make Brandon happy. He is very unhappy that they are starting Leonard again as QB! We will see how it goes! I think that we will go to Brigham that weekend and let Brandon watch the football with his dad, which is probably more fun, cus I would probably complain all day! :)

Work is work for me! Nothing new has changed with me!!

Back to school!!

I guess it is about time for a new post. Nothing exciting has happened.
Brandon went back to school today. He was really not excited about it, especially because he thought he had this week off! :) I have to laugh.. I think it is so funny. He wouldn't have known, but he got an email last week from someone in his program that said see you next week and Brandon was like "what?" so he checked and sure enough they started today! That is such a bummer. I hate when things like that happen! I am sure glad he looked though! He would have missed the first week of school!! :) lol
He is so into football already that I can't even stand it! It is only the beginning too!! It is a good thing that I love him as much as I do! :)
I have been working lots of overtime for work. They offered it and I was not going to turn it down at 25.00/hr! What a burnout! It will go straight to paying some medical bills.. NOT FUN!
Brandon went to his follow up appt with the eye doctor. IT is a lymphangioma In summary, he won't be able to fix his eye completely, it will always be further out than the other one. They can fix it a little, but there is a risk of double vision and that would not be a good thing. That is really basic. Brandon would be able to tell you more! :) Now we have to pray about it and decide if it is worth it! $800 later! LIfe is crazy! :)
Um.. everything else is good. Cara and Matt are going to move here to slc! I am excited for that! Matt is wroking in Draper adn is sick of the commute from Brigham to Draper and home every day. My Dad has an apartment in Ogden now.

Finally home!

Just wanted to give a short little update. I never have pictures, sorry. I just think that they would all be the same! :)
Brandon finally finished up his last week of his internship last week (the 3rd). It was the longest week of my life. It went by so SLOW!! I couldn't figure out how I had done that for 10 weeks! The week felt like 10 weeks! It is just because I knew he was coming home and I was so excited!! The Physical Therapy gave Brandon a nice check when he finished. Too bad that we have med bills to pay!! :) Brandon really wants some golf clubs with it so if anyone knows where to get some nice, cheap ones.. let us know! :)
This week has been great with Brandon home. I can't get out of bed in the mornings to work out now though. he has broken my routine! :)
We went and ate dinner the other night and we both didn't have a thing to say to each other because we are with each other all day even though I am working!
Brandon kept busy last week. We went to his eye appt. WE were there FOREVER just to be told the same things that we have already been told. The doctor wanted him to go get a cat scan and an ultrasound so that they could tell exactly what it was behind his eye. HE got the cat scan, but had to pay our insurance deductible again (our insurance year ended on the 30jun07--brandon was in the hospital for his appendix on june 17-23), so that was not fun. How unlucky is that! Anyway.. he went to get the ultrasound, but our insurance didn't cover that doctor, so we said forget it and dr. anderson's office said that was okay.. they would do it without. We go back on aug 15 and hopefully tell us what is going on! They did tell us that if it is vascular.. it is too risky to do surgery as too much bleeding and could cause blindness. If it is tissue, that is very easy to remove. The doctor said that is what he is hoping it is. I guess all that we can do is wait and see.
Work is good. Brandon starts school on aug 27, 07 and we will see if he can get a little part-time job.
This last weekend we found out my parents are getting divorced. It is really hard, but I think we all saw it coming. I just know that everything will work out the way it needs to be! I just hope that my parents are happy because that is all I want for them both. It kills us all to have to sell the house (my parents) because we all built it together, but we just have to take the memories and move on with life even if it isn't ideal! :)
Okay, so this is not a short update.. sorry!

Brandon is almost done!!

Wow!! It has been quite awhile since I have posted anything! Probably because nothing too exciting has happened and I don't have pictures to post.
Brandon is healing so well. He is pretty much back to normal. The doctor told him he could go back to his daily activities and routine. He has been doing this for awhile. He just told him not to be lifting heavy stuff! His incision looks so good! It is almost completely closed off and starting to scab over. It is finally not draining the infection anymore! The scar will be pretty big and have an indentation, but they said they can go in and fix it if it really bothers him. We will wait to see if it is that bad!
This is Brandon's last week of his internship. He has had a good experience and has really enjoyed it, but he is ready to be done and come home!
Things are good with me. Just working and can't wait till Brandon gets to come home and stay home for good!
I let Brandon take the car and he left me the truck(which we had to put 4 new tires on). It is stick shift and I do not drive those well. We had to go into cottonwood high parking lot and have a lesson. I could not do it. Brandon was getting so frusterated with me. He finally got out and let me try it without him in the car and of course I got it! I still am not very good at it, so I don't go very many places! I have to avoid the hills, otherwise I peel out and make myself look like an idiot! It is actually kind of funny! I am doing better, but it is still interesting. It is a good thing I only have one more week to go with it!
We are still planning on buying my dad's company car (05 chev equinox), but they are totally dragging their feet at getting him a new one, so we might not get it till like sept or oct now. It keeps getting pushed back. I am so glad that we have the truck for now though! What a blessing!!
