UTAH STATE BASKETBALL

We LOVE UTAH STATE BASKETBALL!! We were able to go to the game the other night against UCSanta Barbara. Brandon's Dad was honored for being a previous player during halftime along with a bunch of other former players. It was fun to be there to see him be honored! For any of you who knew me before I met Brandon, it is hard to believe that I could love a sport so much!! I was never into sports at all and didn't know a thing about them mostly coming from an all girl family and my Dad wasn't all that into sports either. When Brandon and I started dating, I don't think that we missed a home basketball game. I started to really enjoy them and I now LOVE the games. I just love the feeling of excitement I get when I walk into the spectrum for the games! MY family just laughs at me! I love the student section heckling the other team. I know that is not very nice of me, but I love it!! :)


My favorite part is when a player from the other team fouls out and they say right, left as they step to go sit back on the bench with the team. I get so excited and the other team HATES it! :) At the game the other night, one of the players fouled out and they did it and you could tell it made him so mad, which makes it even better, he did a little dance really fast to make em stop, but no.. they kept doing it! I loved it!!! I am like a little kid. Brandon thinks it is so funny, but I am not the only one.. we were sitting at the very top right by an opening and when they were doing it, these boys ran through the opening and were so excited too! :) The whole crowd cheered when he sat down!! That is the best!! I get so bummed when we are listening to it on the radio and someone fouls out and we are not there!! I LOVE BEING THERE!! I really recommend going to a game if you have never been. Beats a jazz game by 10 times!! I promise!! IT is such a fun atmosphere!! After the game we met Brandon's parents down on the court and some of the players walked by. I thought I was seeing celebrities, I felt so privileged!! :) I know.. I am a dork! Our friend used to get us free tickets and sometimes they were two rows up right behind the basket. That was SO much fun!! I thought I would have to control Brandon from yelling so much at the players and the ref, but I think it was pretty equal between the two of us. I couldn't help it, they could really hear me! :) Thanks Kenny!!

I am so glad that I can enjoy and share one of Brandon's passion with him. We LOVE going to the games together and look forward to make it a family activity and dress our children in straight blue aggie attire, own season tickets, and be part of the big blue club when Brandon is making the big bucks, ;) Cara mentioned we should move to st. george with them.. I told them it is way too far from UTAH STATE!! :) Lame, I know, but true!

Who eats more? Probably him.. except not near as much as before his surgery! And of course he doesn't gain anything. I think I might gain the weight for him!! :)

Who said I love you first? He did, but only because I wasn't going to be the one that said it first!:) He told me that he really really liked me, and I said "you just like me?" (I think that we had already called the temple and got a date), and he said "Fine, I will say it.. I LOVE YOU!!"

Who is smarter? Umm, hello.. who is in graduate school?

Whose temper is worse? Mine - unless we are trying to find a parking spot or other rare occasion!

Who does the laundry? Mostly Brandon--how did I get so lucky? Does that make me a bad wife?

Who folds the laundry? We usually don't fold it..just put it away.. we put away our own.

Who does the dishes? This is pretty even.. I still am not quite sure how I got so lucky!!!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do and always have. That is if you are looking at the bed. Sometimes I would like to switch sides because the T.V. is on Brandon's side and when we watch it in bed, I hate being behind him. I like him to hold me! :)

Who pays the bills? Gosh.. this is pretty even too. We both make sure it is done, but it depends on what bills need to be paid. Brandon pays online bills, I ususally do the rest.. he hasn't written a check since we got married!

Who cooks dinner? Usually me, although I hate it more than anything!! Sometimes when I really don't want to do it, Brandon will throw something together.

Who drives when you are together? He does, I hate to drive.

Who is more stubborn? I would say most of the time ME! But he has his moments too!

Whose parents do you see the most? Pretty even

Who has more friends? I think that I have more friends that I talk to and keep in touch with, but Brandon has a lot of friends from school and stuff.

Who has more siblings? Brandon.. I have 3, Brandon has 4.

Who wears the pants in the family? Brandon says that the pants are shared one leg each!! But I think that it would be him because sports dominate this family!

Where did we meet? I hate that our story isn't cute: working at Maddox.. Brandon asked me out on Halloween, but I always had a secret crush on him hoping that some day he really would ask me out. He would flirt with me a lot too. But it took 2 years for him to finally ask me out!

Do you remember what he was wearing? I am sure our lovely penguin outfits.. white shirt, black pants and black apron.

When was our first kiss? On our 3rd date/hangout. I don't remember the exact date, but the 3rd time we were together in November of 2003. Brandon will tell anyone that I made the first move, but I promise that it was all him. I was all about waiting, because I didn't want it to be weird at work after we kissed and I really didn't think he would kiss me so soon, so I was really surprised! P.S. the next day at work was kind of weird! :)

When did I know I liked him? I always liked him even before we went out.

Where do I see us in 15 years? Gosh.. hopefully with a family (ideal.. 4 kids) and Brandon making the big bucks and living in Logan going to all the Utah State games! :)

I have the cutest husband!

Today Brandon was taking forever to get home after school and I couldn't figure out what was taking him so long. He finally came home and walked in with a little grin on his face and gave me a package of "V-Chocolates" chocolate covered strawberries!! My FAVORITE!!A whole package!! I was so excited I couldn't stand it! I ate two right away and they were DELICIOUS!! I love him, I love that he was thinking about me, I love that he loves me, and I absolutely LOVED that it wasn't on Valentine's day too! Don't get me wrong, I like valentine's day, but I think that I loved it so much because it was such a surprise! He wins for the cutest and best husband! :)
Mine are completely covered in chocolate, which makes them even better!

4 years!!

4 years ago today Brandon proposed to me! I love to remember and celebrate these days. I am so glad that Brandon proposed and we have each other FOREVER! I can't imagine my life without him! We have gone through a lot of good and a lot of bad and look forward to even more. I am just so grateful that we have each other!!
I actually thought Brandon was going to do it the night before and he didn't and I was so bummed and wasn't quite sure when he was going to do it. We went to church together on Sunday. He was acting a tad bit different and I couldn't figure out why (he had the ring with him in his pocket). He told me that Tai wanted us to come over for dinner after, so I thought okay! Then Brandon said that him and Nate (his friend/roomate) had to come back for an appt with the bishop, so Tai was going to come get me and they would just meet us back at Tai's. Tai came and got me and she was weird, but I didn't know why.. I really didn't know anything. We walked into her apartment and it was kinda dark with rose petals on the floor, and candles lit up everywhere and my favorite song at the time.."for the love of a woman"--jericho road was playing in the background. I didn't really know what to do and I walked into the other room and there Brandon was ready to ask me to marry him! We then made my favorite dinner together and had my favorite dessert.. strawberry shortcake. Then when I got back to my apartment, I got into my room and found a bouquet of flowers and a card.. some roses and my favorite.. daisies! I loved this to keep the excitement going! It was so much fun!! Wish I could live the day over and over!
I love Brandon more than anything and so glad that I said yes!!

eventful weekend---GO GIANTS!!!

Our weekend was actually somewhat eventful! :)
Friday night we went to see August Rush. I know, I know.. it came out forever ago! We like to wait till it comes to the dollar theater! I loved it!! I cried through the whole thing!! So good. i highly recommend it.
Saturday we went to our niece's baptism (lexi). . She is such a fun little girl and has such a strong spirit with her--she has to with all those brothers (5).

I then went shopping with my mom, sisters, and Hadlee. We rode the TRAX to gateway to avoid the parking disaster downtown.

During this time, Brandon went to his brother Darin's and played the Wii. We are debating whether or not to buy one! :) Then that night, we watched Hadlee and my little newborn cousin, Taylee. She is so fun and such a good baby!! She cried once when I got her out of the tub and got her dressed. I think Brandon had her about 90 % of the time. I was getting her out of her carseat when she woke up and Brandon came running out and said " I will take her". He fed her, burped her and played with her. And passed her off when it was time for a bath and diaper changes. He introduced her to the Aggies (watching the game) too! :) Hadlee kept us running all over. She is a little busy body! We had a lot of fun watching them. Brandon was so cute with little Taylee... he will be an excellent father when the time comes! :)




On Sunday, we went to my Aunt MaShel's house for the super bowl. I forgot my camera, so I had to take these few pictures with my phone and it was after some people left. But this is the guy's watching the game. I usually only like the last little bit of games and it was a good one because it was so close. Everyone was cheering for the GIANTS, which was good. I LOVE when the underdog like that wins.. (unless of course the aggies aren't the underdog!). Not the greatest pictures!!




I could not believe how much snow everyone got.. we got NOTHING here in the middle of slc. Even Cara and Matt in Bluffdale got like 10 inches!!
