The other day Braylie was really fussy. When I got her out of the car seat, she was fussy AND super clingy. At first, I thought it was because she had been with babysitters all week and was just not going to let me go. Then I started to notice that she wasn't putting any pressure on her legs. When I would touch them and change her bum, she would SCREAM! She would fold her legs up when I tried to get her to stand. I knew that something wasn't right, cus she was NOT HERSELF! She was eating fine, no fever, red marks, or bruising.

I called the DR. He told me to watch her overnight and if it didn't get better to come in the next morning. WEll... the night was rough. She fell asleep in my arms just fine. We took the crib mattress in our bedroom next to our bed since we didn't have a monitor (sent in to get a replacement) and she slept fine till 3:00 a.m and she woke up in a panic and reached her little arms for me and WOULD NOT LET ME PUT HER DOWN! She slept in my arms the rest of the night while I stayed awake panicked that she was going to be paralyzed or something else horrible! In all reality, I knew she would be fine because of the blessing Brandon had given her, but isn't that a requirement of being a Mom..to WORRY! :)

She woke up the next morning and cried when I tried to stand her up again, so I called and made an appt.

The dr examined her and she cried and clung tight to me as he did his thing! He decided that there was definitely something up--especially the left lower leg/foot---possibly both. He mentioned maybe a fracture, but it is extremely uncommon for a 9 month old! He ordered x-rays of both legs/feet. Braylie HATED it! She screamed the entire 8 minutes while the tech held her down! I was in the back room watching the pictures come over and I couldn't tell anything, but I have never read xrays in my life.

The Dr. called a couple hours later and said they examined them very closely and couldn't tell anything was wrong. He said it was probably a sprain from stepping on it funny, or caught in something. He said to watch it over the weekend and if it didn't improve to come back in and do more x rays.

She acted more like herself later that evening and slept just fine and started to put a little more pressure on it, so hopefully it will get better and better with each day!
I am so glad that we didn't have to put a cast on it and that she is ok!
We still have NO IDEA what happened to cause this! I only leave her with people that I would TRUST with my life and I KNOW that they didn't do anything on purpose! We have all re-played our last couple days a million times and can't think of anything.
She has started to sleep on her tummy, but I don't think that would have anything to do with it!
