WAY TO GO!!

We went to my brother in law's commissioning ceremony. He received 2nd leuitenant (sp) from the Army. I have never been to anything like this, so I thought it would be interesting to be there and of course to support Joe! He also graduated from the U with a major in Biology!! CONGRATS JOE!! What an amazing accomplishment!

Friday was Brandon's graduation. My mom was in town with the annual Davis and Bott annual tax season retreat. They went out to Miller Motorsports Park. My mom called to see if Brandon wanted to go drive the go-carts, so we headed out to Tooele. He was a little hesitant to go at first, but had a good time. His favorite was the complete 360 he did when he tried to slow down!! We got to stay and go on a tour of the place. WOW!! That place is HUGE!! There are some dang nice cars out there!! Thanks Davis and Bott for letting us come!!

Grad pictures and details in next post.

That night my mom, Riley, Cara, Cora and I stayed at the Grand America! What a nice place!! Thanks again to Davis and Bott! We laughed so hard that we couldn't breathe!! The next day, we shopped till we dropped, which didn't take this fat pregnant girl too long! :)

Saturday was a day of running errands and our nephew, Nate, had his court of honor for his eagle scout! WAY TO GO NATE!! We are so proud of you!! He is only 14 and already has gotten his eagle scout!! What an amazing kid. Brandon had his at this age too!! Talk about some mighty determined boys... must be in the blood. :) I was lazy and didn't have my camera.

Sunday was, of course Mother's Day and my 1st that I really got to celebrate!! I will admit that it wasn't my favorite day in the past years, because I wasn't sure that I would ever get to celebrate it for real! I am so grateful that I get to be a mother and count my many blessings!
We headed up to Brigham to spend time with our MOMMIES! I don't know where in my life I would be without my MOM. She is such an amazing person and has taught me so much. She has always supported me, stood by my side and helped me to choose the right. I only hope to one day be that kind of mother to my kids!! Brandon's mom has been an awesome example as well and has raised some amazing kids... especially the youngest son!! I am SO extremely grateful for her! She has also taught me a lot as she has accepted and loved me as her own!! And... to all those other mom's in my life.. you are all great examples to me!!

Earlier in the week we found out that Brandon gets to have SURGERY #3!!! He goes in tomorrow. POOR KID!! I really do feel bad for him, although extremely annoyed at the same time. We will just say... I guess he lifted a little more of his patients than he should have and when he went running the rest happened!! Hey... At least his deductible has been met for this year! NO MORE!!! Our insurance will LOVE us this year!

Brandon is still doing the whole job searching. He has had interviews and quite a few leads that we are really praying go somewhere!! He was offered a job in Price...NO THANK YOU!! Also there is a job in Tooele. I don't think we want to live there either. That must be why they are available!! We know that we will be well taken care of and those are NOT the jobs for us!
